Best Android racing games

Reckless Racing 3

Image

Reckless Racing 3, by Pixelbite, is Micro Machines-style racer with an isometric view, allowing you to look down from above, making the game look gorgeous.

Reckless racing 3 uses four on-screen controls for turning right and left, and driving forwards or in reverse. It might seem like a lot compared to other racers in which you just tilt the screen, but soon you'll find out that this game style works perfectly.

That’s does not mean that the cars are easy to control — your car is sliding around the track and it’s a challenge to keep it on the track. It's this control setup that makes the experience, but thankfully the 3D graphics also look the part and the maps are highly realistic.

It’s a throwback to the arcade-y racing games from the 90s and it's one of the best racing games for Android.

Angry Birds Go!

Angry Birds Go! is a not your typical Angry Birds style game, but a new, free-to-play racing game from Rovio, the team which brought us the original Angry Birds.

It looks like a cartoon plays something like Mario Kart. It features a number of different modes, such as avoiding obstacles, racing others, crashing through a predetermined number of items, and boss chases.

It feels like a playable version of Wacky Races (You know? The animated television series produced by Hanna-Barbera?). Cars can be upgraded, and new characters are unlocked as you progress, each with their own unique characteristics.

It’s clear that the painterly visuals arrive from a highly talented team of artists, animations and backgrounds are consistently strong. The shallow learning-curve also makes it easy and fun to get to grips with, and once you get past the introductory levels you're in for a great ride.

Marvel Contest of Champions

Fight your way through a variety of stages as you level-up and unlock new characters in this epic quests. This game features some of the greatest Marvel characters ever.

The charm of this game lies within it's controls - no on-screen controls, but rather a fluid and responsive "swipe-with-thumbs" style, make it stand out from the crowd.

But make no mistake, in order to play it smoothly you'll need a highend modern device. It's free in the Google Play Store with in-app purchases.

WWE Immortals

A nice game with good graphics, with your favorite WWE Superstars out of the ring and into the supernatural world of WWE IMMORTALS. To fight you have to use the touch screen mechanics of your mobile device for epic battle with your enemies in 3-on-3 combat.

XCOM®: Enemy Within

Image

XCOM: Enemy Within, the well known PC strategy game, now comes to your phone. It might seem expensive at first, but there are no in-app purchases, which means that get what you pay for - a fully functional game. Being initially released for PC, you can expect top-end graphics. Enemy Within features the core gameplay of Enemy Unknown plus more exciting content. Check out the new soldiers, abilities, enemies, maps, missions, and multiplayer mode for the fresh new strategy gaming experience!

Brothers in Arms 3

It seems that it is safe to say that Gameloft know how to make games for Android. Their other games, Asphalt 8, Modern Combat 5 and N.O.V.A 3, speak for themselves - it's features a realistic third-person shooter in which you guide your character, Sergeant Wright, through a series of WWII settings. Upgrading your character may make you pay a bit, because of the game's in-app purchases, but you know how free-to-play are.

The Walking Dead series

We very much enjoyed the game on PC, so naturally, being the same game, we can say that you will too (assuming, that you're into those types of games). An awesome point-and-click adventure game, with a great story. Oh, let's not forget zombies!

Keep It Safe 2 racing game

Image

The sequel to the well known mobile game Keep It Safe - a small, 2D game, with an interesting concept for a fully 2D game - you have to transport various goods from a garage to the market, trying to keep the cargo safe within the truck. It features a few, as well as upgrades for your trucks, and a few levels. Overall a nice small game, but we really wish that the developer consider adding new levels and trucks in the future.

Monument Valley

The clever puzzles, graphics and gameplay make the game what it is - one of the best games from 2014, and also taking top spots on Google Play in 2015. The goal is to manipulate impossible architecture and guide a silent princess through a stunningly beautiful world.
